The group had a short break at the end of August and marked the break by inviting a few friends along to have a look at some of the art work members of the group had produced. It was a very sociable event with tea, cake and lots of chat.
(The planned Lino printing workshop was a great success and we produced cards over two sessions. The first session we drew our design, traced it on to the lino and then cut it out. The second session was dedicated to printing our images in different coloured inks. It was a fascinating and enjoyable experience and huge thanks to Kay who organised, facilitated, and supplied all the equipment)
Autumn to Christmas period saw the group exploring mixed media and collage, over several meetings, resulting in some excellent pieces of work. Nearer to Christmas some of us worked on Christmas cards too, bringing in festive foliage, Christmassy decorations, old cards etc for inspiration. A variety of media and crafts were used for card making.
