Well attended and excellent visit to Walmsley and then down into Wadebridge to Treraven in the afternoon after a pasty lunch.

We recorded 40 species at Walmsley to include Curlew, Little Egret, Tufted Ducks, Moorhen, Buzzard and Canada Geese as well as a variety of winter migrants such as Spoonbills, Redwing, Pintail ducks, Teal, Wigeon, Shoveler, Snipe, Lapwing, Starlings  and Gadwall  plus a lovely variety of our smaller birds, Long tailed tits, Wren, Song Thrush, Great spotted Woodpecker, Chaffinch. Greenfinch and Pied Wagtail.

After lunch at Treraven we saw 27 species,  some of the same  but added to our list, Redshanks, Oyster Catchers, Meadow Pipits, Black headed Gulls Kingfisher, Mute swans, Shelduck and a Sparrowhawk
